Weapons and Damage

Ok have a few questions on weapon damage, as opposed to messaging royce, i thought this information would be usefull for all.
1. Crossbow's do they use the Bow or the Longbow damage restrictions so:
Single max Quin
or
Double max Hex
or something else. (double, max Quin ?)
2. Also i can't find in the manual the effects of:
Master Crafted(MC) on a weapon ( is this +1 damage does this effect cap + 1 cap ?)
Silver on a weapon ( does silvering effect damage or cap ?)
3. Finally if MC does +1 damage does this stack if you are using a MC Bow, with MC Arrows is this +1 damage or + 2
Related to this if it doesn't stack, do you need to have both a MC bow and MC ammo to do the + 1 damage ?
Hope i haven't missed something, and hope this helps others, maybe (if its not already there) this info can be included in next years manual.
Cheers,
Karl

1) Crossbow would be covered by "Bow" for max damage unless it was a "Great-Crossbow" (Something akin to a man portable balista) in which case it would be the same as Longbow. (See Skill descriptions for the note it covers Bows and Crossbows)
2) Master Crafting does NOT effect the damage cap, it is just +1 Damage (It should be noted on the page of item abilities I think?)
Silver does not effect the damage cap, it is simply a special property that may mean the weapon effects monsters in a different way, which is why you call "silver" as part of the call. Monsters will know how this effects them if it makes a difference to the damage they take.
3) Yes, a MC bow and MC arrows DO stack for a total of +2 damage, but no effect on the damage cap. Ditto +1 Magic Arrows and a +1 Magic bow WILL stack for a total bonus of +2 Damage (Same rules apply to Crossbows, blowpipes, slings etc)
Please try to remember this for the 2011 update, but I will also put a note in my logbook of items to be looked at for the 2011 update as well.
